The City of Miramichi has declared the Douglastown Community Center property, located at 1 Marina Drive, as surplus property and that said property is to be disposed of by offer for sale publicly.

The property is described as all those certain lots, pieces or parcels of land situated, lying and being in the City of Miramichi, County or Northumberland and Province of New Brunswick and more particularly as PID 40119380.

The building located on the property is approximately 594.56 m2 (main floor area) consisting of a Community Center, Fire Station and Lot.

Parties submitting offers must include the following information in as part of their submission.

 

  1.  One page letter of introduction identifying the party and signed by the person(s) authorized to sign on behalf of, and bind the parties to statements made in the offer
  2.  A brief one or two page summary outlining the key features of the offer: this summary is to include any intended use of the facility, number of temporary’ and full time jobs created in accordance with the proposed use, as applicable and identify the general economic benefit to the City of Miramichi.

Offers will be evaluated upon receipt. The municipality reserves the right to enter into an agreement with any party who submits an offer.
It is the responsibility of the successful proponent to ensure that all Municipal Zoning regulations are met.
